Mac in Lacrosse Hall of Fame
The Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame formally inducted it first Manitoban, honouring Keith (Mac) McLennan at an induction ceremony in Burnaby, BC on November 9, 2013.
McLennan was just eight years old when he started playing box lacrosse with the Kelvin terriers Pee Wee team. That early experience kicked off a lifelong love of the game tha saw him represent Manitoba 23 times at National Box or Field championships. Between 1983, Mac helped carry Manitoba to three gold medals, four silver medals, and a bronze medal.
Playing attack, McLennan was named to the all-Canadian all-star team 13 times in national field tournaments, and was honoured as the division MVP in 1985, 1986, and again in 1995. He also racked up a pile of scoring awards, and was twice given the Order of Sport Excellence by the province of Manitoba. Mac continues to be active in lacrosse as a member of the Manitoba Lacrosse Hall of Fame Board and President of the Manitoba Lacrosse Alumni.
