2025 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

The Manitoba Lacrosse Hall of Fame proudly announces its class of 2025 inductees:

PLAYERS

  • MIKE TYMCHYSHYN- goal tender played in three Minto Cup finals in the 1950's- winning 5 games.
  • DOUG McKEEVER- goal tender represented Manitoba nationally on nine occasions at the junior and senior level
  • BILL WHICKLOW- outstanding goal scorer winning three scoring title in the 1950's and two league championships with the Elmwood Drewery's. 

BUILDERS

  • KEN JOHNSON- Long time player, referee, and organizer of the game of lacrosse in Manitoba
  • SERGE BALCAEN- Player, coach, executive, and leader in box and field lacrosse in Manitoba

PLAYER/ BUILDERS

  • ALLAN (RICK) HENKEWICH- forward/ goal tender who played 20 years, as well as coached for 10 years. Rick has been a long time volunteer and organizer for the game of lacrosse.
  • DON JACKS- coach, player, and mentor has represented Manitoba nationally and internationally. Don continues to the build the game in Northern Manitoba.

TEAM

  • 1976 PRESIDENTS CUP TEAM- the team composed of the best talent Manitoba had to offer captured the bronze medal. In round robin competition Manitoba gave the BC Vernon Lodge Tigers their only defeat in three years.
